Happy birthday to you!!
I am not normally a big birthday person, but this year I thought it would be fun to start taking advantage of all the birthday freebies so many companies offer. I created a burner email and started signing up for everything I could possibly find. I got close to 40 emails with different rewards, freebies and discounts! It was so exciting to watch the emails come in! I didn’t get to redeem all of them (cause there was a LOT of sweets on the list), but I wanted to share what I learned.
A quick tip, I created a ongoing list when I got the email to tell me where it was from, what the reward was and when it expired. Be aware a lot are only one time open, and its only on your birthday (I ran into this problem a few times). Doing this helped me get the most out of my rewards because I could prioritize by date on what to go and get! I would change it to red after I had redeemed it.
P.S. A lot of these places give you a free reward just for signing up, and an anniversary reward every year on the date you sign up!

- The first email I got was from the Melting Pot. It offered a free order of their fresh made chocolate covered strawberries when you call in with the reservation. I have not had the opportunity to redeem this one yet, but it gave me all the way until May.

- They offer a free appetizer or dessert on your birthday. However, when I went in they told me you have to accrue points to get the reward. I was slightly confused from the different emails I got. But, if you can make it work for you its a fun freebie!
